Add SSD and HDD storage to your build The CORSAIR Black 4000D AIRFLOW case can fit up to 2x 2.5 SSDs and 2x 3.5 HDDs, with the included relocatable SSD trays. Combining innovative cable management, concentrated airflow, and proven CORSAIR build quality, the 4000D is a fitting choice for an immaculate. I really like this case and would recommend it to anyone. If they did and I missed it please enlighten me. Seems weird they didn't give a way to remove it from the case completely. I left the cage with individual brackets removed and slid it forward to have room to plug in PSU cables. The track is riveted to the case so you can't remove that. I've been hearing that the gpu will overheat because it will be so close to the side panel but I've been looking at angled vertical mounts and the one I found was made by ezDIY. I was able to remove it from the adjustable track it is mounted in but the cage was too big to find an opening in the case to slide it through. 1 Posted JI'm looking to vertically mount my evga rtx 3070 ti ftw3 in my 4000D airflow and I would like to know if anyone knows if that's possible. Secondly the drive cage mounted to the bottom of the case doesn't completely come out. I don't use silent mode so I was ok with this. Front is just regular airflow fans with plenty of room, can easily fit a 4090 Strix in there (dont have one, but measurement tape says ez fit). The mounting holes in the back of the case only have one pattern. I was not able to install it with the fan facing up which is required for silent mode operation for passive heat distribution. Building your dream PC has never been easier when you. I have a Seasonic Prime Titanium 850W and it has the option to mount it with the fan up or down depending on whether or not you use the silent mode. 325 Share Save 23K views 1 year ago PCBuild RocketLake Z590 A time-lapse of my Intel 11th Gen Rocket Lake i9 11900K Gaming PC Build Guide in the Corsair 4000D Airflow featuring the ASRock. With enhanced ventilation, the 4000D Airflow provides outstanding system airflow in a stylish package. This will be nothing more than a backup PC for surfing the web but I will be running a 7700k at stock speed with air cooling so still need good airflow. It doesn't have a fan controller on the panel to adjust fan speed. It only comes with two fans, one front, one rear. I have two nitpicks that might make a difference to some people. The Corsair 4000D Airflow looks like a good choice except for two things. Sturdy, well built, the side panels come off the hinges easily. I was wondering if I should buy some argb fans for it too, and move the stock ones either on the psu shroud, or to the top of the case. open testbed, I created this chart using the GPU clocks from GPU-Z from the 10x consecutive Metro Exodus benchmark runs, both in and out of the case.Click to expand. My case arrived today and I have everything installed except the GPU and CPU cooler. Is the Corsair 4000D airflow good Any owners of this case help me out It’s on sale right now for £60 and I’m not sure if if I should bite or not. To see if GPU clocks were affected to any significant degree inside the 4000D vs. If you can live with the noise, the H100i PRO RGB is extremely effective with high fan speeds.) (For the record, the same CPU/cooler on the open testbed with 100% CPU fans was only 41 C under this simulated gaming load. Still, load temps topping out at around 75 C with a Ryzen 9 3900X are fine, though I probably would have had lower numbers with the radiator positioned on the front intake – drawing in cool air – rather than the top (which would also have likely affected GPU temps). 4000D chart until I realized that all testbed GPU temps were recorded using 100% CPU fans to prevent thermal bottlenecks with our processor. However these temps are targeted by the GPU, so average clock speeds will be a better determination of performance here (more on this in a moment).Īs to CPU temps, I was going to create an open testbed vs. Compared to results from the same system on the open test platform, the GPU results were nearly identical, with the range being 76 – 77 C in ambient temps of 21.5 – 22.0 C.
